Global Tax Senior Manager

Responsibilities
Lead the US tax practices and ensure tax filing obligations are properly done and filed. Provide guidance to the US Tax Manager, Tax Analyst and Tax Intern
Provide support and overview for compliance to regulatory agency requirements through the development and implementation of processes, systems, and procedures to collect and report required information while minimizing company expense and risk regarding all applicable taxes. Provide support for group internal control improvements, policies, and procedures, in compliance with GAAP and/or other regulatory agency requirements, and the integrity and objectivity of financial reporting
Provide tax advisory services to internal stakeholders on tax impacts of new business endeavors including acquisition structure and tax due diligence
Provide proactive analysis and credits & incentives
Update management and provide leadership guidance regarding ever changing regulatory requirements and the impact on company operations
Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Legal, or Tax
10–15 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, legal, or tax roles, with a generalist tax background
Significant experience in US direct and indirect tax (Federal and State), including a strong understanding of employment tax law and tax implications
Experience in SALT (State and Local Tax), as well as credits and incentives, will be highly valued
Broad technical knowledge of US and international tax law and regulations
Experience in tax return compliance, tax audit management, and the implementation of tax reporting systems
M&A and cross-border planning experience, including tax impacts of financing and treasury management
Transfer pricing experience is a plus
Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills
Ability to analyze complex regulations and communicate them clearly to non-tax partners
Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and drive change
Ability to think in terms of global processes rather than specific functions
Ability to travel less than 5% annually
Preferred
Experience with Oracle Tax and tax calculation software is preferred
