Customs & Trade Sr Analyst

The role involves overseeing daily import activities, ensuring customs compliance, managing broker relationships, and supporting audits and inquiries from US CBP.

Responsibilities

Ensure U.S. customs compliance by monitoring US Customs law developments, including other import-related requirements, and advising leadership on potential legal, financial, and operational risks
Manage duty payments, customs valuation, and reconciliation processes to ensure accurate and timely filings
Conduct origin qualification analyses under applicable Free Trade Agreements to support duty reduction strategies for PCS and CMSPL customers
Determine appropriate tariff classifications for raw materials and finished goods in line with PGCS GCT protocols
Identify and support productivity initiatives aimed at reducing duty and related costs, especially in connection with new products or market entries
Lead the preparation and ongoing maintenance of CTPAT/AEO certification for PCS and CMSPL, ensuring supply chain security compliance
Support innovation by advising on tariff implications and duty optimization for new product formulas
Contribute to risk control efforts under PepsiCo’s Global Control Standards by identifying and flagging potential risks, including those outside direct customs scope (e.g., tax, pricing, finance)
Support the development of new initiatives within the Customs & Trade (C&T) function, including identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and compliance and data analysis
Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to customs and trade activities, ensuring they reflect current regulatory requirements, internal controls, and best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree with preference for areas of International Trade, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required
Minimum of 10 years' experience in cross-border activities of world-class companies
Experience using Free Trade Agreements and other duty programs
Proficient in written/verbal English language skills
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and SAP structure
Strong Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with ability to clearly articulate ideas and proposals to all levels of the organization and drive this work to completion
Be organized and manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure organization
Demonstrates a genuine interest in international trade and the evolving global landscape, with a strong commitment to compliance and ethical standards
Skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple projects and workstreams, and capable of translating complex technical topics into clear, actionable insights for non-expert colleagues and senior leaders
Able to navigate interactions with both assertiveness and diplomacy, depending on the audience and context

Preferred

US CBP Licensed Broker (highly preferred)
CTPAT/AEO training or certification - beneficial
Knowledge of customs system tools and other automation opportunities in C&T arena is a plus
Proven process improvement background would be an advantage

Benefits

Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
