PROGRAM MANAGER-SON-H - (PART-TIME ~20 HRS/WK)
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a part-time Program Manager for the School of Nursing. The role involves providing direction for program/project policies and procedures, ensuring efficient management of operational and financial functions, and supporting the projects' mission in collaboration with the Office of Research and Scholarship.

Responsibilities
Oversees and actively participates as a member of the T32 team
Schedules leadership meetings and advisory board meetings
Works with Project Director on agenda topics for meetings, sets up meeting rooms or virtual meetings, sends invitations, and keeps minutes of meetings
Develops maintains FERPA compliant academic and program records in a secure central repository
Coordinates trainee onboarding/offboarding
Composes appointment letters and routes for signatures
Communicates with SON HR Office of Graduate education (post-docs only) documents submitted
Completes and routes NIH eRA Commons X-train documents
Assists with creating trainees' ERA commons ID (if needed)
Updates and maintains trainee database and files
Schedules and conducts exit interviews with trainees
Assists with developing trainee recruitment materials and recruitment procedures internally and externally
Places advertisements for trainee positions, receives applications and coordinates interviews
Assists trainees with securing, accessing, and processing professional travel arrangements
Develops and maintains applicant database
Reviews applicant evaluation form
Maintains the program website
Provides trainee support in navigating the T32 program and processes and procedures
Processes tuition payments and travel reimbursements
Orders supplies and equipment
Coordinates annual IDP meetings and manage records
Oversees overall program management and support for trainees
Monitors budget and assures compliance with all federal, SON, and University budgetary procedures
Assist with annual NIH RPPR submission
Processes travel reimbursements for external advisory board members
Create surveys to evaluate individual trainees and to measure program outcomes per the proposal evaluation plan
Facilitates compliance relative to University, School of Nursing, sponsor policies, Office of Research and Scholarship, and Grant Development/Research Management within the School of Nursing and University policies and procedures

Performs other related duties as directed to support the missions of the School of Nursing
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Three (3) years of related experience
Previous project management, coordination, or administration or related experience
High degree of organizational skill
Proficiency with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook)
Proficiency with other software (SPSS and ENDNOTE)
Ability to construct presentations, tables, graphs, and charts
Preferred
Master's degree in Education or other related field
