Senior LevelTrivelta is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join their team working on KYC and identity verification systems. The role involves developing and maintaining core functionality in Rust, ensuring system performance, scalability, security, and reliability while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend systems for KYC and identity verification
Ensure compliance with CIP, BSA, and broader KYC/AML standards
Write secure, auditable, and production-grade code in Rust
Collaborate on system architecture and scalability decisions
Prioritize correctness, efficiency, and resilience
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in Rust and backend development
Familiarity with microservices, async systems, and database operations
Experience working with sensitive data and secure systems
Strong attention to detail and software quality
Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers and making strategic architectural decisions
Excellent collaboration skills across product, finance, compliance, and support functions
Preferred
Knowledge of low-level languages (C, C++, Go) or ML infra is a plus
Experience with data pipeline design, analytics integration, and geolocation-based access controls is preferred
Understanding of system performance tuning, security protocols, and regulatory compliance (AML, KYC, data privacy)
