Intern - Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Finish the mandatory safety training and uphold Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies
Adhere to safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
Collaborate with shift teams to meet and maintain area performance targets
Work with Manufacturing Technicians and key customers to develop and implement BKMs across shifts
Partner with first-shift teams to resolve tool/process setup challenges and improve workstation productivity
Analyze data to identify root causes of chronic issues and implement preventive measures
Lead continuous improvement projects, ensuring accurate completion within scope
Coordinate project activities, track actions, and communicate progress to team members
Use data analysis to recommend and implement changes to tool qualification requirements

Required

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage tasks and projects efficiently
Basic understanding of Fab process areas and processing equipment
Solid knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles
Effective communication and presentation skills
Intermediate data extraction, analysis, and reporting capabilities
Experience or knowledge in scripting, programming, or visualization tools (e.g., Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, JMP, Minitab)
Familiarity with data collection, warehousing systems, and data cleansing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Operations Management
Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process optimization
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and project management
