$20/hr - $20/hrZymo Research is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our internship. The qualified individual will assist with various R&D projects for product design, development, and optimization, specifically in protein engineering for protein and enzyme function modification and optimization.

Responsibilities
Conduct literature review and database analysis, select candidates for product development
Develop and optimize in vitro protein expression systems
Evaluate and develop protein functional screening assays
Produce candidate proteins using recombinant protein expression and purification methods
Characterize and QC validate target proteins
Record, analyze results and present findings and progress to the research team on a regular basis
Write SOPs for different processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or related field
Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification and understand related techniques
Understanding of protein structure and function
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
