The successful candidate will engage in teaching undergraduate courses, mentor students, and contribute to the department and university through committee work and professional development.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses including studio and seminar-format. Teaching assignments will be based on the applicant’s experience and expertise
Teach using design-oriented software, including AutoCAD and Revit
Advise/mentor undergraduate majors
Provide service to the Department, College and University, normally committee work
Continue professional development
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely-related professional field
Graduate degree in Interior Design, Lighting Design, Architecture, or a closely related professional field, or five years of related professional practice
Evidence of proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD and Revit
Preferred
College-level teaching experience
Proficiency in using and teaching a range of industry-standard software beyond AutoCAD and Revit, including SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, AGi32, ElumTools, Rhino, Enscape, and similar software
Professional or teaching experience in Lighting Design
Professional licensure/registration (Interior Design or Architecture)
Proficiency in using and teaching digital fabrication techniques and processes
