NetSuite is seeking exceptional managing counsel to support growth in their Data Center and Networking legal team. This role involves providing legal support for complex data center power and energy transactions and collaborating with Oracle executives to complete agreements.

Responsibilities

Provide legal support for complex data center power and energy transactions with data center providers

Work closely with Oracle executives to complete agreements between Oracle and its providers

Coordinate the efforts of various internal organizations to ensure that Oracle contracts comply with company policies

Define policies, practices, and procedures within the company

Join a collaborative group of attorneys focusing on transactions involving data center development, acquiring and leasing real property, site selection, land use, permitting and zoning, construction contracts, and negotiation of power purchase agreements

Required

6 to 10+ years of relevant legal experience

Applicants are required to read, write, and speak English

Significant commercial negotiating and contracting experience

Ability to manage a variety of tasks and evaluate alternatives quickly

Provide top quality legal assistance and support to executive-level clients

Admission to practice law in the United States

Preferred

8+ years of relevant legal experience focused on the power and energy sector (renewable, traditional, utilities, transmissions, etc.)

Demonstrated experience advising on regulatory compliance, permitting, and licensing within the energy industry

In-depth knowledge of energy regulatory bodies (e.g., FERC, DOE, state-level agencies) and relevant legislation

Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to power purchase agreements (PPAs), supply agreements, infrastructure development, and joint ventures

Track record handling due diligence and risk assessment in power and energy transactions

Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and dynamic team environment
