Senior Corporate Accountant
Star Dental Partners (SDP) is a Dental Support Organization (DSO) that assists dental practices with non-clinical challenges. They are currently seeking a hands-on Senior Corporate Accountant to assist with all elements of the accounting function, including General Ledger accounting and month-end reporting, while overseeing one direct report and interacting with private equity partners.

Responsibilities
Serve as liaison with external auditors during the annual financial statement audit, including the preparation and review of internal audit schedules and supporting documentation
Maintain debt and seller note rollforward schedules
Maintain LeaseQuery software and record lease accounting transactions
Record and review monthly revenue and accounts receivable roll forward for assigned practices
Perform various month-end close journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned
Perform P&L trend analysis for multiple locations and research any unusual variances and prepare journal entries as needed
Support the back-office integration of newly acquired locations
Actively participate in the month, quarter-end and year-end close process ensuring work is completed in accordance with closing schedule
Contribute to and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls in accordance with best practices
Lead a staff accountant and oversee their work product including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and bank reconciliations
Ad hoc projects or other duties as needed to support the Accounting Department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited program required
1 year of public accounting experience or 5 + years of general ledger accounting experience within a corporate, multi-location environment
Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel, Word, SharePoint and automated accounting systems
Experience preparing financial statements for audit with footnotes
Demonstrate sense of urgency and works well under pressure
Proficient in Excel including consistent use of lookups and pivot tables
Familiarity with US GAAP and internal controls
Strong customer service orientation, a team player with the ability to establish collaborative working relationships
Can work well both independently and on a team
Proven analytical mind and not afraid to dive deep into the details and solve problems
Sharp attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
Good verbal and written communication skills
Required to commute to the Plano, TX office four days weekly, Monday - Thursday. Fridays are virtual
Ability to maintain a full-time employment schedule of approximately 40 hours per week extended hours may be requested or required
Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
Preferred
One (1) year of public accounting audit experience is preferred
