Supporting senior associates, of counsel and partners in the SSDLPG
Providing daily advice and counsel to clients on special education matters
Supporting clients in all aspects of student-related litigation and interactions with the California Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH), California Department of Education (CDE) and Federal Office for Civil Rights (OCR) regarding disability and discrimination matters concerning students
Qualification
Required
0-5 years of experience
strong research skills
strong writing skills
strong people skills
expertise in matters concerning special education
knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act
ability to support senior associates, of counsel and partners
ability to provide daily advice and counsel on disability and discrimination matters concerning students
ability to support clients in student related litigation
ability to interact with the California Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH)
