Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and lead the recreation therapy program
Direct patient care
Establish, initiate and conduct the recreation therapy treatment program including leisure education, aerobics, creative expression, outdoor education, community reintegration and special events for patients
Complete appropriate and assigned written materials, documents and forms to assist in patient documentation and communication in the department
Treat all patients with respect and work as a team with staff/coworkers
Qualification
Required
High School diploma/GED required
Bachelor's Degree preferred or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
CTRS preferred
History of working in an inpatient acute care setting preferred
Experience with conducting appropriate groups to a specific patient population
CPR, HWC, and verbal de-escalation training necessary and may be provided upon hire at the hospital
