Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the ATMS and ITS
Troubleshoot and repair traffic signal and communication devices
Utilize traffic data for improvements
Program and adjust signal controllers
Conduct traffic analyses and support traffic calming initiatives
Collaborate on system maintenance
Manage right-of-way permits and traffic control plans
Support Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program
Participate in emergency response and on-call duties
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
Six (6) years of relevant experience
IMSA Level II certification or ability to obtain within one year
IMSA Level I and II TOC certification or within two years
TIM Certification within six months
Traffic Control Supervisor certification or within one year
Class B CDL or within one year
Fiber splicing and network programming experience
Work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends
Read and interpret blueprints
Communicate effectively with coworkers and the public
Maintain effective working relationships
Comprehensive knowledge of fiber networks and traffic signal equipment
Knowledge of traffic control standards contained in the FHWA's Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices
