Vice President, Head of Oncology Sales
ELKA Search Partners is seeking an accomplished commercial leader to build, lead, and execute the U.S. sales strategy for an upcoming oncology launch. The VP of Sales will oversee all aspects of go-to-market planning, field team buildout, and sales execution for the company’s first product, playing a key role in shaping the company’s transition to a commercial-stage biotech.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement the U.S. field sales strategy for launch and beyond
Build, train, and lead a high-performing oncology sales organization
Define territories, KPIs, CRM platforms, and incentive structures to drive performance
Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Value & Access, Medical Affairs, and Analytics to optimize execution
Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, and accountability across the field organization
Build strong relationships with oncology centers, KOLs, and community practices
Champion the voice of the customer to inform brand strategy and future product planning
Qualification
Required
15+ years of commercial pharmaceutical experience, including 8+ years in sales leadership
Proven success in oncology launches; rare oncology experience preferred
Strong strategic and operational leadership in pre-commercial or early commercial settings
Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain top-performing sales talent
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with strong executive presence
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
Willingness to travel up to 75%
