Family Office Associate

Responsibilities

Performing basic bookkeeping functions on a daily, weekly, monthly basis; including:
Creating new vendors
Recording vendor invoices in the general ledger as accounts payable
Prepare payments (checks, ACH, wires) of vendor invoices and submit for review
Recording cash movement transactions from financial institutions
Record purchase of assets, capital improvements
Prepare journal entries for payroll, accruals and prepaid expenses
Credit card statement processing – system input and review of supporting documentation
Meticulous maintenance of client files/records in shared network folders
Daily tracking and following up on transactions, including vendor maintenance
Completing vendor, credit and other applications on behalf of clients
Requesting completed W9 and NDA forms from vendors
Communicating with vendors and following up on inquiries
Processing 1099s
Collecting invoices for annual sales tax return
Responding promptly to client’s various requests
Familiarity with financial statements
Ad hoc analysis and reporting

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting
2+ years' accounting experience focusing on A/P, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations and Data Entry
Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and v-lookups)
Expeditious and accurate data entry skills
Highly motivated self-starter; independent worker
Able to communicate well (both verbal and written) and build relationships within teams
Possesses core self-management skills: time management, organization, prioritization, resourcefulness, problem-solving
Detail oriented, Intelligent; Inquisitive
Exhibits accountability and ownership
Strive for continuous improvement
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be willing to execute Corient's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement

Preferred

Family Office Experience preferred
Experience with MS Dynamics, NetSuite, and/or SalesForce
