Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
Build and enhance core Java/J2EE applications and related frameworks
Develop and optimize front-end components using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Collaborate on system architecture, caching, and performance optimization
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation processes
Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
Work closely with global teams in Istanbul and New York to deliver end-to-end solutions
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience with core Java/J2EE applications and frameworks
Strong hands-on experience with Spring, JPA, JMS, and relational databases
Deep understanding of RESTful API design and development
Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SEO, and accessibility best practices
Working knowledge of Linux/Solaris environments and shell scripting
Experience with CI/CD tools, build automation, and version control
Familiarity with cloud services (GCP preferred) and caching frameworks
Strong problem-solving ability and adaptability in fast-changing environments
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred
Experience in e-commerce or high-volume transaction systems
Knowledge of Postgres, Oracle 12c+, SQL/PLSQL, and query optimization
Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS, Ember)
Experience with CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Sass/LESS)
Understanding of PCI compliance, performance tuning, or data security
Exposure to machine learning or data science applications
