Responsibilities
Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance
Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment
Repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems on a variety of heavy equipment
Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy equipment
Clean and service machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms
Consult and collaborate with other mechanics
Report damaged or faulty equipment to management
Qualification
Required
Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Must have strong working knowledge of computer testing technologies
Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Ability to lift heavy machinery
Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment
Ability to work after-hours if required
Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work with several levels of the organization
Clean, valid driver's license
High school diploma or GED
Must pass pre-employment testing, including drug screen
