Front End UI Developer Intern for Aerospace Company
Spacebourne is an aerospace startup developing innovative solutions for the rapidly evolving satellite industry. They are seeking a talented and motivated UI/Front-End Software Engineering Intern to help build the CLARITY platform, which predicts and visualizes RF interference for satellite communications.
Responsibilities
Build dynamic, geo-referenced heatmaps showing real-time and predictive RF interference patterns across the globe
Design and implement an intuitive, professional dashboard interface for enterprise users (ground station operators, satellite companies, regulators)
Create engaging UI components for alerts, notifications, and interference threshold warnings
Work with our backend team to integrate RESTful APIs and display live satellite positioning and C/I (Carrier-to-Interference) ratio data
Ensure the platform works seamlessly across devices and screen sizes
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled college student (any year, any major)
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
Experience with modern frameworks: React, Vue.js, or Angular
Understanding of responsive design and UI/UX principles
Ability to commit 5-8 hours per week through December 31, 2025
Self-motivated with excellent communication skills
Portfolio or GitHub showcasing previous UI/front-end work
Preferred
Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly, Recharts)
Knowledge of mapping/GIS technologies (Leaflet, Mapbox, Google Maps API)
Familiarity with TypeScript
Experience with WebSocket or real-time data streaming
Interest in aerospace, satellite technology, or RF engineering
Understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration
