Responsibilities

Architect, develop, and maintain native agents for Windows and macOS platforms, utilizing platform-specific APIs and kernel interfaces
Design and implement kernel-level networking solutions using Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) and macOS Network Extensions
Develop Windows drivers and system components using the Windows Driver Kit (WDK) and Win32 APIs
Create and maintain macOS system extensions and leverage BSD networking stack capabilities including packet filter frameworks
Build cross-platform agent frameworks using Rust and Python with Tauri/React-based user interfaces
Analyze and optimize network performance by understanding Windows and macOS kernel networking decisions and packet routing
Implement and maintain observability stacks (metrics, logs, events, traces) for cross-platform agent monitoring and debugging
Debug complex production issues involving kernel-level interactions, driver behavior, and system extension functionality
Collaborate with other engineers to deliver seamless cross-platform features and maintain API contracts for the ControlOne platform
Ensure security and compliance best practices are embedded throughout the agent lifecycle, including code signing and platform security requirements
Automate build, deployment, and testing workflows for multi-platform agent distribution using CI/CD pipelines
Write clear, maintainable documentation for kernel-level development and contribute to operational excellence across Windows and macOS environments

Leverage deep expertise in Windows and macOS kernel development, networking stacks, and system-level programming to deliver secure, high-performance agents that seamlessly integrate with operating system networking and security frameworks

Deep expertise in Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) for network packet filtering and inspection
Strong knowledge of Win32 API and Windows system programming
Understanding of Windows networking stack architecture and kernel networking components
Experience with Windows security models, code signing, and driver certification processes
Expertise in macOS/BSD networking stack including packet filter frameworks
Proficiency with Network Extension and System Extension frameworks
Understanding of macOS kernel architecture and XNU kernel development
Experience with macOS security frameworks, entitlements, and system integrity protection
Knowledge of macOS distribution and notarization requirements
Advanced proficiency in Rust for system-level agent development and Python for backend integration
Experience with Tauri/React for cross-platform user interface development
Strong understanding of cross-platform build systems and deployment strategies
Deep understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routing protocols, firewalls, load balancing, security)
Expertise in modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/Loki) for cross-platform monitoring
Performance analysis and troubleshooting using platform-specific tools (Windows Performance Toolkit, macOS Instruments, network analyzers)
Debugging complex kernel-level issues using crash dumps, kernel debugging tools, and system tracing
Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, CircleCI), and ticket management (Jira, Azure DevOps)
