EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICE FOR INTEGRATED WARFARE SYSTEMS
The Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking an Executive Director for the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems. In this role, you will lead the vision for the PEO IWS enterprise and manage complex programs and projects to ensure alignment with the Department of the Navy's strategic goals.

Responsibilities
You will bring shipboard integrated weapons systems experience and provide key leadership to establish the vision for the future PEO IWS enterprise and management philosophy
You will initiate plans and direct the implementation of highly complex and varied PEO management and program strategies, while also ensuring that such efforts are consistent with overall Department of the Navy (DON)
You will ensure availability through effective budgeting of required personnel, funding, facilities, equipment, and support for PEO programs
You will initiate, plan, and direct Programming, Technical Planning, and Management of over 170 complex Programs and Projects
You will oversee the examination of alternative acquisition strategies and Science and Technology trends to meet warfighting requirements as defined by Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (OPNAV)
You will analyze threat and geopolitical assessments in establishing near-term and future PEO IWS strategic plans
You will ensure programs are executing to cost, schedule and performance requirements, are meeting required delivery dates in support of new construction and modernization of surface ships, submarines, and aircraft
You will ensure compliance with cyber and system operational certifications

You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-278e within 30 days of appointment
You will be required to sign the Reassignment Rights and Obligations Agreement as a condition of appointment into the SES in accordance with DoD Directive 1403.03
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326
May be required to successfully complete a 1-year SES probationary period
Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
If you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959, certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so
May be subject to pre-employment and random drug tests
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved

Knowledge of sensors, command and control, weapons, and combat system technologies and operational requirements necessary to develop, integrate, and test Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Surface and Undersea Warfare Combat Systems for US Navy and our Allies
Experience in acquisition management encompassing the full range of Defense Acquisition Management, Policy and Procedures including PPBES, requirements development, contracting, system development, test and evaluation, certification, production, installation, operation, and sustainment
In addition to the Technical Qualification Requirements listed above, all new entrants into the Senior Executive Service (SES) under a career appointment will be assessed for executive competency against the following five mandatory ECQs
