Program Manager - Trauma - Full Time Days
NYU Langone Health is a leading medical center providing comprehensive care in eastern Long Island. The Program Manager for Trauma is responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary services and ensuring optimal care for injured patients, while overseeing clinical care, community education, and performance improvement activities within the trauma center.

Responsibilities
Fully cognizant of the current (and anticipated) standards for trauma centers set forth by the American College of Surgeons, Committee on Trauma, Verification Review Committee (ACS COT VRC) and the State of New York
Oversee the injury prevention and community outreach activities of the trauma center
Oversee the performance improvement and the patient safety program of the trauma center
Serve as a consultant and liaison to all departments and divisions that provide care to the injured patient
Oversee the trauma registry, data submissions to state and national programs and research activities of the trauma center
Represent the trauma center at local, regional, state and national meetings and activities by attending meetings, engaging in active subcommittee participation and abstract submissions
Oversees personnel within the trauma program (as assigned)
Qualification
Required
Current licensure in NYS as a Registered Professional Nurse or as a Physician Assistant
Bachelors degree in nursing
6-8 years of experience of clinical experience, preferably trauma related
Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines
Demonstrate ability to work on a team including team members from other disciplines
Computer skills including: Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Complete the TOPIC, Optimal and Trauma Program Manager courses within 12 months of employment
Achieve TCAR and/or TNCC certification within 12 months of employment
Serve as ATLS Course coordinator within 12 months of employment
Registered Nurse License-NYS
Preferred
Masters degree in nursing, Health Care Administration, Business or another related field
