Responsibilities

Provide services to patients within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations, under the direct supervision of a registered tech

Prepare and position patients and selects exposure factors accurately

Implement radiation protection and safety standards within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations

Prepare for and assists the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures

Prepare and administers contrast media and medications

Position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately

Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area in the department

Qualification

ARRT certificationBLS Provider certificationRadiology trainingPatient positioningRadiation safety

Required

Licensed ARRT or in the rad training program

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted

High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required

Preferred

Candidates must be licensed as ARRT or currently a senior in radiology training program
