Responsibilities
Infrastructure Management : Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS or Azure, leveraging services such as EC2, RDS, S3, or Azure VMs, Azure SQL Database, and Blob Storage
Security Architecture : Develop and implement security strategies and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
Monitoring and Optimization : Monitor system performance and security, implementing optimization strategies to ensure high availability and reliability of all systems
Compliance and Governance : Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the fintech industry, establishing policies and procedures to meet security and compliance standards
Incident Response : Lead efforts in vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and incident response planning, addressing potential threats proactively and effectively
Team Leadership : Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and security awareness
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of system architectures, security policies, and operational procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Ownership Mindset: Proactively takes initiative and embraces responsibility for outcomes. Self-motivated, you seek opportunities to identify challenges and implement efficient solutions
Proven Experience: 5+ years of experience in infrastructure management and security in cloud environments, with strong expertise in either AWS or Azure
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, S3) or Azure services (e.g., Azure VMs, Azure SQL Database) and architecture. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus
Security Expertise: In-depth understanding of security frameworks, protocols, and practices, including firewalls, IAM, security monitoring, and incident response
Networking Knowledge: Familiarity with networking concepts, VPNs, and VPCs, and their application in a cloud environment
Automation and Scripting: Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation
Problem Solver: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced startup environment
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Preferred Experience: Background in fintech or startups is a plus
