Field Services Technician I

The Field Services Technician I will perform tasks related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste clean-up and site remediation, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies while operating various equipment.

Responsibilities

Ensure Health and Safety policies and processes are always followed
Operate light and heavy equipment such as pumps, vacuum equipment, generators, pressure washers, skid loaders, and hand power tools
Perform work activities related to chemical, oil, and water spills
Work in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive
Work in confined spaces above & below ground and on & under equipment. Work at elevations including working from ladders, scaffolding, and power lifts
Complete associated paperwork, including but not limited to daily worksheets, tailgate safety sheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections, and Health and Safety requirements & permits

Required

Valid state driver's license required
Must have basic computer skills
Ability to travel 35% of the year
Ability to use heavy, light, and handheld equipment (forklift, track hoe, backhoe, skid steer, etc.)

Must exercise good judgement and critical thinking skills
Able to pass respirator fit test and maintain respiratory clearance
Ability to be 'On-call' and work overtime if required
Must be able to operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other power tools
Must be able to lift and move up to fifty pounds
Kneeling, crawling, stooping, bending, or twisting for extended periods of time
Walking and/or standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time
Position requires working near and around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations
Tolerate working from heights, extreme temperature variations, and outside weather conditions
Ability to wear PPE required for safe job completion

Preferred

Experience in construction preferred or related industry
High School Diploma / GED preferred; Reworld offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED
