Responsibilities
Provides technical supervision over food service operations and contingency meals. Develops full food service contracts and manages performance
Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for Base of Operations Support Contract and other installation food service contracts
Plans, manages, coordinates, implements, and monitors the Installation food service program
Supports 24/7 operations with increased population as required (e.g., senior visits, exercises, relocations, conferences and ceremonies)
Analyzes subsistence requirement trends, equipment, physical layout, storage, financial management goals, accountability, inventory procedures, and user satisfaction
Oversees the preparation, bulk issue, and tracking issuance of meal-ready-to-eat (MRE's) as directed

U.S. Citizenship is required
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
May be required to successfully complete a probationary/trial period
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Required to participate in the direct deposit program

The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates experience: Planning and executing food service operations; and Assisting with the management of food service support contracts; and Maintaining inventory levels
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
