Surface Mount Technician-2nd shift SMT
Leidos is an industry and technology leader serving government and commercial customers, and they are seeking a 2nd Shift Surface Mount Assembly Technician to join their team. The role involves operating SMT equipment to produce Printed Circuit Board Assemblies and requires a working knowledge of various SMT machines and processes.

Responsibilities
Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering
Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA’s and how they are processed on a SMT line
Experience working under a microscope
Hand soldering SMT and Through-hole parts
Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and have significant impact on the work output
Works independently under limited supervision
Work in team environment and interacting with different functions, project teams and productions teams
Qualification
Required
HS Diploma/GED and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience
Surface Mount Technology experience or related electronics assembly experience
Knowledge of SMT processes used to build Printed Circuit Board Assemblies
Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions
Must be a US Citizen and possess or meet the eligibility to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance
Working knowledge of SMT machines such as: Stencil Printer, Solder Paste Inspection, Pick & Place machine, Reflow Oven, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), X-ray and hand soldering
Understanding of different electronics packages such as 0402, 0603, BGA's and how they are processed on a SMT line
Experience working under a microscope
Hand soldering SMT and Through-hole parts

Works independently under limited supervision

Preferred
Current or prior certification in IPC-A-610
Current or prior certification in J-STD-001
Experience on SMT equipment and hand soldering
