Responsibilities
Develop and execute risk-based internal audit plans
Provide independent assurance on governance and risk management
Oversee audits covering financial, operational, and compliance risks
Champion emerging technologies to enhance audit efficiency
Report audit results to senior management and Board of Directors
Lead and mentor a high-performing audit team
Monitor emerging risks and advise on strategic resilience
Manage relationship with external auditors
Qualification
Required
CPA Certification strongly preferred
8-10 years in public accounting, internal audit, or corporate accounting
Strong expertise in GAAP and GAAS
Bachelor's degree in business disciplines
Leadership experience in managing audit functions
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Deep understanding of internal audit methodologies
Preferred
Construction industry experience
Experience with AI-driven audit tools
MBA or relevant certifications
OSHA 30 certification or higher
Local to Kansas City Metro area
