Aircraft Structures Technician

Western Aircraft is looking for diligent and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technicians to join our dynamic team. The role involves inspecting and conducting structural repairs and modifications per blueprint specifications while ensuring compliance with FAA and manufacturer specifications.

Information Technology

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of aircraft structural repairs and modifications
Use specialized equipment and tools to measure parts for defects or deviation from specifications
Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of maintenance work
Completes duties within allotted hours quoted for assigned tasks
Ensures proper and complete documentation of maintenance, repair, and modification work performed
Understands and follows safety procedures and utilizes support equipment in a safe manner
Follows strict dimension tolerances in compliance with FAA, FAR, based on supplied approved data

Required

Minimum three (3) years' experience in aviation regarding Small, Mid to Large cabin aircraft
Minimum three (3) years' performing structural repairs and modifications
Basic knowledge of Sheet Metal assembly techniques required
Ability to read blueprints and schematics required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
Organized and detail oriented
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Ability for climbing and bending at the waist, crawling, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and working at heights; Reaching overhead above the shoulders and horizontally
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Preferred

Experience working with composite materials a plus
Airframe Certification preferred for entry and mid level position / Required for senior level position
