Service Technician - Centrifugal

They are seeking an experienced Centrifugal Air Compressor Service Technician to support customers in the Kansas City region, responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing centrifugal air compressors.

Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair centrifugal air compressors
Perform preventive maintenance and emergency service calls
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
Travel to customer sites throughout the KC metro and surrounding area
Communicate directly with customers on equipment status and repairs

Required

At least 3 years experience servicing centrifugal compressors
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to: DUI in the previous 5 years, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Field service or industrial maintenance background
This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling, and requires employees to regularly lift and or move weight limits in line with the safety policy
Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and other basic computer usage
Proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad) and network bases
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and customer service skills including conflict resolution, communication, negotiation, etc

Preferred

OEM or distributor experience
OEM training (Ingersoll Rand, Kaeser, Hitachi, etc.) is a plus
