Responsibilities
Lead multi-functional teams to complete engineering projects in New Product development stage and other projects focusing on providing support to compensate for supply chain disruptions
Lead or support new technology platforms, new product, and new product variant program development as needed
Lead efforts to assess product performance issues, strive to root cause and lead to effective resolution
Develop HVAC product based on Product Management defined scope and/or Compliance/regulation and market requirements
In-depth knowledge of refrigeration system, thermodynamics, heat transfer and related Engineering principles
Familiarity of Industry codes and applicable standards related to refrigeration systems
Work in collaboration with multi-functional teams such as Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Services on New Product Development
Provide support for existing products, including trouble shooting, root cause analysis, and implementing cost savings ideas
Identify customer problems and create functional prototypes offering a solution
Work with suppliers to identify alternate solutions for engineered components
Analyze market and industry trends and conditions and implement new technology in IAQ products
Analyze feasibility, cost, and return on investment for projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, or a related engineering field
At least 5 years of experience in product development or product engineering is required
Prior experience with refrigeration and HVAC systems
Understanding of compliance requirements for refrigeration and HVAC systems is a plus
Experience with FEA/CFD software
Working knowledge of CAD, preferably Solid Edge, would be beneficial
