Start in 2026 SpringAugust Mack Environmental, Inc. is excited to announce their 2026 Summer Internship program. The Litigation Support Intern will assist in projects at the intersection of law and environmental science, supporting law firms by conducting research and aiding in the resolution of complex legal disputes under the guidance of experienced technical managers and senior leadership.

Responsibilities
Conduct research and analysis of environmental issues related to ongoing legal cases
Assist in evaluating scientific data, environmental reports, and expert testimonies to support well-founded opinions and conclusions
Train on environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards
Assist in working with legal teams to develop written arguments and strategies for environmental cases
Assist in the review, analysis, and effective responses to reports and testimonies provided by opposing expert witnesses to identify weaknesses and inconsistencies in their arguments
Assist with assessing and clearing conflicts of interest as necessary to provide expert services and/or litigation support
Maintain administrative files
Qualification
Required
Working towards a bachelor's degree in history, English, law, geology, engineering, chemistry, environmental science, or science-based field
Strong computer and verbal/written communication skills
Ethical conduct and the ability to maintain impartiality
Well organized and detail oriented
Possess strong proofreading skills
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Exhibit strong time management skills
Strong multi-tasking skills
Provide efficient and effective research support
