Responsibilities

Develop and oversee the design and architecture of complex systems, ensuring they meet all technical requirements and specifications
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams through the entire systems engineering lifecycle, from concept development to system deployment and maintenance
Oversee the integration of various system components and ensure they work together seamlessly. Plan and conduct system verification and validation activities to ensure the system meets all required performance and reliability standards
Identify potential risks throughout the system's lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address these risks effectively
Engage with customers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure their requirements are incorporated into the system design. Communicate project status and technical information effectively
Lead efforts to innovate and improve existing system designs. Resolve complex technical issues that arise during the design, development, or deployment phases
Conduct performance analysis and modeling to predict and verify system behavior under various conditions
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers, to ensure integrated system solutions

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
9 Years of experience in RF and Communication system Design, Datalink HW development
5 years of experience with algorithm development and digital signal processing with proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, SIMULINK, and C/C++
3 Experience with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, and signal analyzers
Active SECRET clearance
Ability to obtain TS clearance

Preferred

Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
Experience evaluating requirements and writing technical proposals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Understanding of satellite CONOPS
An active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
Experience with project planning and proposal activities
Experience preparing presentation materials, documentation, and presenting technical designs internally and customer facing
Experience with SDR (Software Defined Radio) platforms like USRP, HackRF
