Housing Repair Technician

Responsibilities
Perform routine inspection, removal, maintenance, and repair of furniture in residential hall rooms and lounges to ensure functionality and safety
Assist with the organization and upkeep of the furniture repair shop, including managing tools, maintaining inventory of replacement parts, and ensuring work areas are clean and operational
Measure, purchase, and install window blinds across resident halls
Repair as needed
Maintain inventory
Measure, procure, install, and repair dry-erase and bulletin boards throughout residence halls, ensuring proper placement and functionality
Qualification
Required
H.S. Diploma
Previous experience in a related maintenance role
Prior experience with small carpentry repairs, work order systems, identifying and requesting replacement parts
Driver's license
Have an understanding of basic power and hand tools
Ability to perform and understand routine and complex repairs
Be capable to lift 25 pounds
Work independently
Maintain strong organizational skills
Flexible and reliable
Have a strong work ethic
