Responsibilities

Develop & execute an agency-wide Quality & Risk Management Strategic Plan aligned with the organization’s mission & goals
Advise the CEO, senior leadership, & Board committees on emerging risks, quality trends, & compliance priorities
Serve as the agency’s lead on accreditation & licensing readiness (e.g., COA, DDS, DESE, DPH)
Oversee the Quality Enhancement Director in conducting internal audits, environmental inspections, & case record reviews across programs
Ensure compliance with all DDS, DPH, DESE, OSHA, HIPAA, & other applicable regulations
Monitor & analyze key quality indicators, consumer satisfaction surveys, & performance outcomes; implement corrective actions as needed
Chair the Quality Council & present quarterly quality & risk reports to the Board
Lead the organization’s Risk Management program, including identification, assessment, & mitigation of operational, health, legal, & financial risks
Oversee incident management, including investigations, root cause analysis, & regulatory reporting (HCSIS, OSHA, HIPAA breaches)
Partner with HR, legal counsel, & insurance carriers on workers’ compensation, liability claims, & loss prevention strategies
Ensure effective policies, procedures, & training are in place to prevent compliance violations

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 5 years in quality assurance, risk management, or compliance within human services, healthcare, or education, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
Extensive knowledge of Massachusetts regulatory frameworks for human services (DDS, DPH, DESE) & accreditation standards (e.g., COA, CARF)
Demonstrated success in leading organizational change & fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Master's Degree with focus in a human services field strongly preferred
