Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, including financial modeling, valuation, and benchmarking, to assess the financial health and viability of distressed companies
Perform extensive due diligence on companies and their operations, identifying potential risks and opportunities. Prepare reports for senior management and clients, outlining findings and recommendations
Collaborate with senior team members to develop innovative restructuring strategies tailored to meet clients' specific needs, considering both operational and financial aspects
Work with cross-functional teams to execute restructuring transactions, including debt negotiations, refinancing, asset sales, mergers, and acquisitions
Prepare high-quality pitch books, confidential information memoranda, financial models, and other client-facing materials with accuracy, clarity, and professionalism
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and acting as a trusted advisor throughout the restructuring process
Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes related to restructuring and distressed situations. Share insights with the team and clients to inform decision-making
Collaborate closely with senior bankers, analysts, legal advisors, and other professionals to coordinate and execute projects, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, supporting their professional growth and helping them develop essential skills in restructuring and investment banking
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
3-5 years of investment banking experience in leveraged finance, M&A, restructuring, or related fields, ideally with exposure to distressed situations
Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a collaborative and proactive mindset
High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and client trust
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Knowledge of financial analysis tools and software is a plus
