Responsibilities
Provides appropriate education to Adult Echocardiology staff
Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation and continuing education programs
Ensures programs are based on the principle of delivering care appropriate to the ages of the patients served in the department
Assists in assessing patient care activities and personnel to ensure high quality patient care
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
RDCS-Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and certification in adult patient population AND Advanced Cardiac Sonographer certification
2 years of progressively responsible experience with six months concurrent experience in appropriate clinical area in order to develop proficiencies in delivering high quality patient care services, develop an understand of work flow of the unit, and to demonstrate proven leadership skills required by the position
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented
Preferred
Requires an understanding of Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) IAC expectations to ensure department certification
