Responsibilities

If Selected at the GS-06 Level, the following duties will be performed in a developmental capacity
Assist senior analysts in analyzing and evaluating the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of the organizations’ functions and programs
Collect, verify, compute, consolidate and review a variety of technical and statistical data to prepare reports and briefings
Identify and describe trends and/or problems, possible cause or explanations, make recommendations and refers to higher level analysts for in-depth study
Participate with coworkers in evaluating and refining processes to assure customer satisfaction and increased productivity
Maintain records of suspense actions and tracks suspense status through an automated system to ensure suspense’s are processed within the designated timeframes or that extensions are granted before suspense due-dates
Provide administrative and technical support to the DLA organization through a wide range of functions utilizing professional and technical skills

Appointment is subject to the completion of a favorable suitability or fitness determination, where reciprocity cannot be applied; unfavorably adjudicated background checks will be grounds for removal
Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Non-Exempt
Selective Service Requirement: Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled
To qualify at the GS-07 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector
To qualify at the GS-06 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement
Creditable specialized experience includes: GS-07: Develop and compile data or reports on program issues; make recommendations, clarify discrepancies; advise supervisor of problems and possible solutions in the administrative processes
Administer a files management system to include hard copy and electronic files
Compose correspondence on findings such as technical reports and research papers
Administer and/or maintain an Employee Suggestion program or awards program
Prepare and conduct briefings to office leaders and associates
Operate independently making decisions within the customer service philosophy and mission of the office
GS-06: Prepare travels arrangement for associates who travel to depot, customer, and contractor facilities utilizing DTS
Prepare forms, schedule meetings, maintain suspense calendar and compose routine letters and memorandums
Proofread narrative and statistical materials, verify calculations, distribute mail and duplicates material
Perform supply and procurement support services to include providing for the requisitioning, storage and issuance of office supplies, administrative equipment, and as applicable, ADP hardware/software
Receive and assign routine action items within the Division, trains new employees on the system input and maintenance procedures
Serve as focal point for dissemination of information for action items and relied on to keep Division supervisors informed of status of action items, extensions required internally and externally
Perform weekly maintenance task review system reports for accuracy of input; identify recurring errors and propose solution(s)
