The intern will assist with prescription processing, patient counseling, clinical drug monitoring, and inventory management under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Responsibilities
Assist with prescription processing, billing, and dispensing
Provide patient counseling and education under pharmacist supervision
Support clinical drug monitoring and customer service initiatives
Maintain accurate documentation for pharmaceutical purchases and dispensing
Ensure proper storage, packaging, and security of medications
Participate in inventory management and remove outdated products
Assist with pharmacy marketing and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Perform insurance verification and claims processing
Package prescriptions for shipping and coordinate timely delivery
Support clinical pharmacy projects and other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a nationally accredited school of pharmacy in good standing
Completion of at least one year of pharmacy school (P2 level or higher)
Registered as a Pharmacy Intern with the State of New York
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with regulations
Ability to stand, sit, walk, and use hands for extended periods
Occasionally stoop, bend, and lift or move up to 25 lbs
Specific vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
