International Trade Compliance Analyst II

Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance Monitoring and Management: Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant international trade laws and regulations, including export control laws, import regulations, and sanctions programs. Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and assess their impact on company operations
Documentation and Recordkeeping: Prepare, review, and manage all necessary documentation for import/export authorization requests. Maintain accurate records of all trade compliance activities and transactions to support audits and inspections
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Ensure adherence to company policies and external regulations
Training and Education: Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on international trade compliance requirements and best practices
Audits and Investigations: Support internal audits to verify compliance with trade regulations and company policies. Investigate and resolve any compliance issues, working with relevant departments to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and typically 2+ years of relevant experience
A higher level degree may substitute for experience
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Able to effectively and clearly communicate complex regulatory requirements and solutions
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment

Preferred

Basic knowledge of ITAR & EAR concepts
Understanding of customs processes and compliance
Familiar with OCR EASE, DTRADE/DECCS, SNAP-R, Customs ACE
Experience conducting export control classifications and jurisdiction reviews
Experience with import/export authorization management in ITAR USML Categories VIII; XI; XII; XIII
Experience conducting export classification exercises - both internal classification and commodity jurisdiction requests
