Regional Business Development Executive

Basys is a technology and payment integration solutions provider for businesses across the country and Canada. They are seeking a high-caliber Outside Sales Executive to drive new business growth by self-sourcing opportunities and managing client relationships in the merchant services and fintech industry.

Responsibilities

Proactively self-source new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, community engagement, and local business development
Create and execute a personal prospecting strategy focused on building a sustainable and growing book of business
Collaborate with existing referral partners as opportunities arise, supporting them with product education, joint calls, and referral management
Obtain merchant statements from prospective clients, assess their payment processing needs, and present tailored, value-driven proposals
Manage the entire sales cycle — from initial outreach and needs assessment to proposal, negotiation, and onboarding
Sell merchant services and fintech solutions including credit/debit card processing, payment terminals, and integrated payment technology
Maintain a detailed and up-to-date sales pipeline in the CRM, with consistent documentation of outreach and follow-up activities
Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions to build brand awareness and generate leads
Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client data to identify new opportunities and optimize territory performance
Educate bank staff on our suite of merchant services and Fintech solutions to enhance their ability to identify and refer potential clients
Research, monitor, and advise management of client risk and/or issues, facts and opinions when opening an account

Required

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience, with a proven track record of self-sourced success in B2B sales
Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and capable of managing a territory independently
Proficient in CRM tools with a commitment to accurate and timely data entry

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
Prior experience in fintech, merchant services, or financial sales strongly preferred
