Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and performance management for the Field Service Team
Champion a zero-harm safety philosophy by enforcing safety standards, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with MSHA and other regulatory requirements
Oversee field service projects from quoting through completion
Ensure timely coordination, resource allocation, and execution of service jobs to meet customer expectations and company standards
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal leadership
Maintain clear, professional communication to support service delivery and resolve issues
Build and maintain the field service team to meet budgeted headcount
Collaborate with other regions to optimize manpower utilization and respond to fluctuating service demands
Monitor and drive field service utilization metrics
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance service quality
Provide expert-level technical assistance to both internal teams and external customers
Troubleshoot complex issues and guide resolution using diagnostic tools and engineering principles
Qualification
Required
Previous leadership experience or equivalent technical experience in heavy mining equipment
Proven experience with shovels and draglines in a mining or industrial setting
Demonstrated success in project management and field operations
MSHA certification required
Proficient in using diagnostic tools, functional testing equipment, and specialty instruments
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and service management software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel as needed to support field operations and company objectives
Valid driver's license
Ability to interpret and explain complex engineering concepts in practical, easy-to-understand terms
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges
