Senior Software Technical Documentation Specialist

The Software Technical Documentation Specialist will create and maintain technical documentation for the software suite, ensuring clarity and accuracy while collaborating with various teams to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, API references, system architecture descriptions
Work with product and marketing teams to ensure documentation aligns with branding and messaging standards as well as streamlining localization resources
Collaborate with software development teams to gather technical details and ensure documentation accuracy
Standardize and enforce documentation styles, templates, and version control practices
Manage document repositories and ensure content is properly organized and up to date
Review and edit documentation created by other contributors for consistency and clarity
Assist in the creation of online help systems, knowledge bases, and internal wikis and training material
Contribute to process improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance documentation workflows or tools

Required

Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Exceptional experience can be considered in lieu of formal education
3+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation for software products
Strong understanding of software development concept and tools, such as Agile development process
Proficiency with documentation tools such as WordPress, Confluence, Adobe, or similar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Knowledge of UX principles and content design for digital interfaces
Strong understanding of software development concept and tools, such as Agile development process preferred
