The Wall Street Journal, through The New York Post, is seeking a YouTube Producer/Editor to create compelling long-form digital videos. The role involves executing stories from conception to completion and collaborating on story development while utilizing Adobe Creative Suite.

Responsibilities

Execute stories from conception through completion across journalistic and documentary formats
Pitch original story ideas across a range of topics, including national news, tabloid content, and societal trends
Conduct in-depth research on a wide variety of subjects
Report, write, and edit long-form content with compelling narrative structure
Edit video and visual content quickly and creatively
Collaborate on story development and production from start to finish
Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, and familiarity with After Effects required)

Required

5+ years of experience working with news company
Experience creating YouTube video for digital platforms
Background in journalism and the ability to pitch, produce, and script
Solid editorial judgment
Strong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events and excellent communication and people skills
Expertise with key productions in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, and familiarity with After Effects)
This candidate must have a strong aesthetic eye and cinematic tendencies
Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately in a fast paced but fun environment
Attention to detail a must
