Responsibilities
Create Technical Drawings: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce detailed drawings and plans for products based on specifications
Collaborate with Professionals: Work closely with team members to incorporate design requirements and ensure accuracy in drawings
Revise and Update Drawings: Review and modify existing drawings to meet project specifications and standards, ensuring all necessary information is included
Conduct Site Visits: Gather data and verify that design specifications are being met during the manufacturing process
Maintain Documentation: Organize and manage project files, including drawings, revisions, and technical documentation
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to read blueprints
Understanding of GD&T
Proficiency in CAD Software: Strong knowledge of CAD tools such as Inventor, AutoCAD or SolidWorks is essential for creating and modifying designs
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate and high-quality drawings, with a keen eye for detail
Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying potential design issues and suggesting solutions
Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
Understanding of Industry Standards: Knowledge of regulations and materials relevant to drafting and design
Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a fabrication environment
Familiarity with various materials and their machining properties
Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities
