Responsibilities
Civil/structural scope includes support for permitting, site planning, grading, foundation design for major electrical equipment (e.g., breakers, transformers, switches), underground raceways such as trenches and manholes, above-ground cable routing systems, retaining structures, stormwater management, containment systems, survey coordination, and construction-phase civil support
Design site layouts, grading, foundations, drainage, containment, and access roads
Review specs, estimates, proposals, and schedules
Support permitting and coordinate with survey and construction teams
Provide QA/QC for civil packages and collaborate across disciplines
Offer cost-saving alternatives and ensure constructability
Attend project meetings and support field execution
Qualification
Required
Professional Engineering license
Must have Substation background
8+ years in Civil/Structural engineering
3+ years in substation/switchyard civil/structural design
Proficient in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and stormwater tools
