The Senior Python Software Developer will transition the functionality of the PostGIS database, develop user-facing query forms, and provide operational maintenance and support for analytics.

Responsibilities

Transition the functionality of the PostGIS database and the functionality of the Jupyter Notebook based on customer direction

Develop prototypes answering new questions as well as providing better answers to existing questions based on customer direction

Develop a series of user facing query forms to leverage stored data to enable analysts to answer geospatial questions

Provide development support to analytic front ends to verify conformity and performance to proposed GUI designs

Provide operational maintenance and support for Customized/Do It Yourself analytics

Provide subject matter expertise for metric generation, usage, and applications

Required

Bachelor's degree plus 11-years of relevant experience

Master's degree plus 9-years of relevant experience

An Associate's degree plus 13-years of relevant experience

High school diploma/GED plus 15-years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position

Computer Science (CS) degree or related field

Strong Python skills using Pandas & PySpark, developing software in Red Hat Linux (versions 3 – 5+)

Experience with Jupyter Notebooks

Experience with Machine Learning

Experience with AWS EMR

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
