The role involves collaborating with cross-functional leaders to influence new accounting standards, manage strategic investments, and drive process innovation to ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Responsibilities

Lead the interpretation, implementation, and adoption of new US GAAP pronouncements and accounting policies
Organize and coordinate policy improvement projects, serving as the primary contact for planning, analysis, and reporting updates to leadership
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation, identifying and escalating risks as needed
Oversee change management, communication, and training for policy and investment initiatives
Support investment monitoring and complex technical accounting determinations (with frequent collaboration Technical Accounting team and M&A), the global investment close and reporting process (with collaboration with SEC counsel and External Reporting), and the continuous improvement of overall investment accounting processes and controls

Required

Experience in accounting/auditing with proven expertise in US GAAP research, technical application, and emerging accounting topics
Demonstrated ability to solve complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions
Strong project management skills, including written and oral communication, organization, and stakeholder influence
Experience in designing, evaluating, and sustaining internal controls for financial statement risk mitigation
Familiarity with investment accounting (including ASC 320, ASC 321, ASC 323), VIE accounting, process automation, and cross-functional collaboration
