Brigham Young University is seeking applicants for a one-year visiting fellowship at the J. Reuben Clark Law School. The Fellow will engage in legal research, present their scholarship, and develop their research agenda while participating in the academic life of the Law School.

Responsibilities

The Fellow will participate fully in the intellectual and spiritual life of the Law School

The Fellow will attend regular works-in-progress discussions on faculty scholarship

Present their own scholarship to faculty members

Work to develop their own research agenda and scholarship

During the first year, the Visiting Fellow will be expected to write and present at least one full-length law review article

Fellows whose terms are renewed will continue to develop their scholarship while also potentially teaching and going on the legal academic job market

Required

JD or PhD in a related field. The required degree must be completed by the start date

Demonstrated an interest in becoming a law professor

A record of strong legal research and writing skills

An outstanding academic and professional background

A commitment to producing influential and enduring scholarship

Relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment

Include a one-page mission alignment statement as part of your application

All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend
