Responsibilities

Develop and lead the company’s federal government relations and public policy strategy that aligns with the business goals
Monitor, analyze and influence federal legislation and regulatory developments affecting genetic testing, precision medicine, access, reimbursement, privacy, and data use
Represent the company in Washington, D.C., including participation in coalitions, trade associations, and public hearings
Build and maintain strong bipartisan relationships with key policymakers and staff, as well as key external stakeholders
Collaborate with market access, legal, compliance, clinical, commercial and other internal teams to assess policy risks and opportunities
Advise executive leadership on political, legislative and regulatory trends and their business implications
Lead the development of policy positions, comment letters, white papers, and testimony

Required

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MA, MS, JD, PhD, MBA, or related field) preferred
15+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, or regulatory strategy, preferably in healthcare, life sciences, or diagnostics
Deep understanding of the U.S. legislative and regulatory process at both federal and state levels
Proven track record of successful advocacy and relationship-building with policymakers
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Experience managing external consultants and internal cross-functional teams
Based in Washington DC (required)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and highly regulated environment

Preferred

Advanced degree in public policy, law, public health, or related field preferred
Familiarity with genetic testing, laboratory operations, or precision medicine policy
Experience working in or with Capitol Hill, federal agencies, and familiarity with state legislative work
