Road Service Technician - Experienced
Monroe Tractor is a well-known and respected construction equipment and agricultural equipment dealer with over 70 years of experience servicing the northeastern US. The Road Service Technician is a Diesel technician responsible for performing maintenance and repairs for diesel-run equipment in a professional and timely manner.

Responsibilities
Provide technical service to equipment
Read job orders
Observe and listen to equipment in operation to resolve malfunction issues and execute work procedures effectively
Follow checklists to ensure all critical parts are examined
Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed
Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly
Tag all warranty parts and return them to the warranty clerk
Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins
Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness
Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor
Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures
Participate in, and utilize to the best of one’s abilities, technical training as assigned by management
Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner
Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were before being serviced
Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel
Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management
Adhere to the manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications
Any other duties as outlined by the Service Supervisor and, or management
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Road Technician
Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team-oriented environment
Exceptional customer service skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain professional relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism
High level of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with standard computer applications and diagnostic tools
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to safely and independently lift and transport equipment and parts weighing 50–75 pounds
Preferred
Prior experience with heavy construction or agricultural equipment strongly preferred
