Research relevant case law and statutory precedent
Analyze legal documents and briefs, ensuring accurate statement and depiction of facts, case law, and precedent provided
Prepare various types of correspondence regarding assigned matters
Prepare a variety of litigation documents, including affidavits, petitions, discovery, motions, and pleadings
Draft basic corporate documents, including meeting minutes, resolutions, and disclosure schedules
Assist with conference call negotiations, witness fact investigations, and depositions
Attend and assist with negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials
Maintain exhibits and prepare and organize various types of tangible evidence as needed for court appearances
Regular in-person attendance, and participation in various attorney-shadowing opportunities
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment as a first-year student in an accredited law school required
Strong academic track record
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Superior research and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills in a variety of situations
Excellent work ethic
Preferred
Superior academic credentials strongly preferred
